What I Read in March

(I’ve had this written out all month and forgot to post it!! very sorry)

March was a pretty good reading month for me, I found my new favourite book and got to read one of my most anticipated books of the year (more on that in a minute). So here is every book I read in March:

‘This Vicious Grace’ by Emily Thiede
When I started ‘This Vicious Grace’ I wasn’t really sure what to expect from it, especially as I struggled to get into it at first. However, from the moment, Alessa met Dante I was hooked, they’re such perfect characters and I love the relationship between them from start to finish.
The basic premise of the book has been done before (someone has a touch that kills people) but the setting and stories surrounding it make the book so much better and more interesting to read.
Also if you love the bodyguard trope this is definitely for you!
(This releases 28th June + Thank you to NetGalley for the e-arc!)

‘Truth or Dare’ – Sophie Mckenzie
I had read ‘Girl Missing’ by Sophie Mckenzie before and found it pretty enjoyable so when I saw ‘Truth and Dare’ on Netgalley I had to request it. The book is an environmental-themed mystery that is educational whilst also still being an enjoyable read, however, some of the educational parts did seem a bit repetitive. The book was well-paced and although predictable, it was a nice short read!

‘The Dragon’s Promise’ – Elizabeth Lim
‘Six Crimson Cranes’ was one of my absolute favourite books last year so when I found out there would be a sequel I was super excited, even more so when it became available on Netgalley but unfortunately it was a bit of a letdown. It felt fairly disjointed and slow-paced – there wasn’t a proper story there. However, I did still buy the physical copy because I have to have my collection complete.

Daisy Jones and The Six’ – Taylor Jenkins Reid
Ok this is my new favourite book – I fell in love with Evelyn Hugo last year and had wanted to read this for a while and finally got around to it and I just loved it so much. I never cry at books but TJR seems to have some sort of hold on me because I’ll read one line and start crying. Her characters are so real, it genuinely feels like they were an actual band that existed and I really wish they were. I can’t wait for the tv adaptation and I’ve already been recommending this to everyone.

That’s all from March! and because of the lateness of this post, you’ll get April’s very soon!!
