What I Read in February

It may be the shortest month of the year but I still managed to read 4 books this month!! Which is quite an achievement for me, especially since I found some of the books a bit slow. Anyway, here are the books I read in February:

‘Six of Crows’ by Leah Bardugo
As I ended up posting my January summary midway through February, I mentioned that I had finished Six of Crows but you’d have to wait until this post to see what I thought and I’m sure you were all so eager to find out! I picked up the collectors edition of Six of Crows at the Waterstones sale as it was really pretty and I’d been meaning to read it for a while and I’m glad I did! Although it did take me a while to read, partly because it’s a long book but also because it had a bit of a slow start, I did end up enjoying the book, the plot was great and I loved the characters. I’m excited to read its sequel, although I have been warned it will break me.

‘With This Kiss’ by Carrie Hope Fletcher
(Thank you to Netgalley for the e-arc) I enjoyed the overall concept of this book but it did feel like there was something missing, although part of the main focus of the book was on Lorelai’s relationship, it didn’t feel particularly romantic, mostly just them chasing each other (I know there’s supposed to be problems with the relationship but it was just lacking something). However, Lorelai’s relationship with her best friend and her mum was written very well and showed some beautiful progression! I did like the book as a whole but it felt a bit rushed and there was a little something missing.

‘Princess Ever After’ by Connie Glynn
This book got a whole post on this blog dedicated to it! So go check it out here (also thank you for all the love on that post, it’s one of my top viewed posts on the blog). But I loved this book! It’s so bittersweet since it’s the end of the series but I’m happy with the ending and I can’t wait for Connie’s future books!

‘We Were Liars’ by E. Lockhart
Because of the prequel coming out soon, the book was available on Netgalley and since I’d seen a lot of hype surrounding this book I decided to give it a go! I was very shocked by the last part but up until that point, it felt very slow, if it weren’t for the big twist it wouldn’t have been a great book. However, the ending did make it worth it! No spoilers though cause I want people to be as shocked as I was.

That’s all the books I finished this month and I’m currently reading This Vicious Grace! So the review for that will be next month! Hope you all had a good month and read some good books!
