This week is a big week for me with two of my most anticipated books being released, so I thought whilst I read these and gather my thoughts on them to share with you all. It would be fun to do a book tag!
The tag is called the Reader’s Problems Book Tag and the original creator is linked here https://youtu.be/7SfhSV-L3eo
- You have 20,000 books in your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?
It really depends on what I have read previously, sometimes I go through phases were I like to read just a bunch of dystopian novels or crime fiction books in a row, so if that were the case I would chose one of a similar genre to the last. If not I go for what I think i’d be in the mood for, whether its something more complex or something a bit more fun and lighthearted. - You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?
Usually if i’m not loving it but it’s decent I will continue, however there have been a couple books that I really couldn’t get on with and it felt like a chore to read them so in that case I DNF’d them. - The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?
This has happened before and I didn’t mange to, I don’t want reading to feel like a task and want to keep it as something I enjoy. So if I don’t reach the target I celebrate the amount I did complete. - The covers of a series you love do. not. match. How do you cope?
I haven’t really experienced this before but I don’t think it would bother me too much! - Every one and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?
I just share my thoughts! It isn’t often I really don’t like a book but if I don’t and the book comes up in conversation I will explain why. But I can appreciate why others may have loved it. - You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?
I don’t really read in public anymore so i’m not really sure about that one! (it’s also very rare a book would make me cry, I just sit there in disbelief sometimes) - A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book?
Sometimes, I do find that usually the beginning of the book reminds you of what happened in the prior novel but if I get confused halfway through I would either google it or check the prior book to work it out. - You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?
I’m usually happy to let people borrow books unless they’re special to me or signed, in that case I would just apologise and explain its meaningful to me and help them find a cheap copy or something! - You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?
I don’t tend to experience reading slumps unless the book is really slow, most of the time the books really suck me in so I don’t want to put them down. - There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?
What I can afford! Usually I’ll preorder them and if I can’t get them all at once I’ll buy the next one ones I’ve finished another! I only read one book at a time anyway!! - After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?
My books usually don’t touch the bookshelf till I’ve finished them! I do usually only buy one book at a time anyway so never more than a few days unless I do have multiple.
That was the reader’s problems book tag! I found that quite fun to do and hopefully gives you more of an insight into my reading habits! I won’t tag anyone but feel free to take part if you want to! If you find any other cool book tags please send them my way!!
